Our Concierge is our ambassador to the public, representing Tuscan Gardens® to visitors, vendors and families. If you share our commitment to providing an exceptional senior living experience, we want to meet you! Our Concierge will be responsible for meeting and greeting residents, guests, suppliers, vendors and outside service providers in a warm and professional manner. Monitor visitors entering the building and ensuring they sign-in. Answer/transfer incoming phone calls and handle switchboard to respond to communication needs and inquiries. Keep environment of the lobby and front desk neat and clean. Maintain resident data, such as directories, information sheets and other projects on the computer. May coordinate transportation for resident trips or outings. If you have:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent in education, training and experience
  • Minimum of one year experience as Receptionist/Switchboard Operator/Hospitality Concierge
  • Experience in senior living environment (preferred)
  • The ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language
  • Knowledge of switchboard operations
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to solve problems in a calm manner
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Doctor’s statement verifying employee is free from communicable disease

We are seeking a Full time Medication Technician (MedTech). Job description:
  • Assist residents with medication as defined in medication procedure. Assist or supervises residents who self-administer medication. Exhibits understanding of and follows policy and procedures for medications. (Refer to state specific regulations for assistance with medication). Check and record vital signs, weights, and blood sugars as assigned.
  • Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the individual service plan. Allows and encourages residents to do as much of their own care as possible. Assists in providing appropriate information and behavioral prompts, cues, redirection and affirming support to residents in need. Reports any change in condition of resident(s) immediately to supervisor.
  • Serves meals to residents in the dining room or suites. May assist in preparing meals following preplanned menus. Encourages residents to eat a proper diet and take adequate fluids while respecting the resident's right to free choice. Reports changes in resident's eating habits. Supports hydration programs and good dining experience.
  • Initiates and participates in leisure activities provided for residents as described in the activity calendar. Encourages residents to socialize and participate in planned activities or programs and to develop friendships with other residents.
  • Support fall prevention programs for all residents in need. This includes proactive intervention use, monitoring, daily tidies to clear rooms of clutter, etc.
  • Answer call lights promptly. Communicate proactively with team to ensure call lights are responded to timely.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for the residents. Performs general housekeeping, following cleaning schedules for laundry, bedrooms, dining area, living space, bathrooms, kitchen, etc.
  • Follows proper procedures in emergency situations and responds promptly to resident requests for assistance - including emergency pull cords, telephone calls, and requests from family and friends.
  • Follows up on resident concerns as needed and directed by supervisor, maintaining resident confidentiality.
  • Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions and follow up as directed.
Qualifications: Education Required (Preferred):
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Medication Technician (Med Tech) certificate (for Florida) required
  • CPR and First Aid certification required
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred Years/months of Experience (Preferred):
  • One year of experience working as a Medication Assistant/CNA/PCA/RA, preferred.
  • One year of experience working in an Assisted Living or Health Care preferred. • One year of experience working with Alzheimer’s residents or other related dementia diseases, preferred

Job Description: We are looking for an outstanding individual to join us as a Full time/Part time/On Call Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). As a LPN you will be responsible for the direct care of and overall management of the residents in accordance with physician orders, recognized standards of practice within state licensure and established company policies and procedures within our assisted living and memory care departments. Responsibilities: · Provide daily supervision to assigned staff and directly provide nursing care to residents as assigned, demonstrating good decision-making skills as warranted. · Documents resident status, to include resident overall condition, as per policy. · Participate in the admission and discharge of residents as directed. · Responsible for identification of resident medical and behavioral changes, communicating with their physician timely. · Provide daily report to the Director of Health Services concerning community conditions, personnel performance, resident conditions, and needs for nursing supplies. · Provide nursing care according to physician’s orders and in conformance with recognized nursing practice, established standards, and administrative policies and regulations. · Make rounds with physicians, assist in examinations and/or treatment of residents and follow through with orders as directed, notifying responsible party as indicated. · Assess resident and notify attending physician and responsible party in the event of a change in the resident’s condition. · Accurately administer prescribed medications, supervise the continuity of nursing care, respond to changes in medical condition, medications or other circumstances requiring special care needs and perform first aid as required. · Assess and monitor complex resident health status and determine the appropriate nursing intervention. Develop and monitor the ongoing plan of care with resident and initiate corrective action as necessary. · Orient residents and staff to emergency procedures and respond to all emergency situations. · Assure that all resident records are accurate, complete and all mandatory forms are on file. Through familiarity and application of facility policies and procedures, assure that nursing care is practiced in full accordance with regulatory requirements, facility quality standards, and resident rights. · Proactively monitor resident environment to ensure all safety and sanitary regulations and quality standards are met or exceeded. · Orient residents and staff to emergency procedures and respond to all emergency situations. · Assist in the recruiting, hiring and training efforts of the clinical team. · Responsible for leadership including engagement, performance management and evaluations.   • Plan, schedule and coordinate all resident activities on a monthly basis. Manage the monthly calendar of activities. Present activity participation levels of resident at plan of care and evaluation team meetings.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly program content.
  • Gather information, articles, and photos for newsletter and social media.
  • Plan and coordinate special events including events for seasonal holidays.
  • Plan and coordinate arts program, entertainment for special events, monthly birthday parties, group games, weekly religious services and individual independent projects that reflect the “Life Enrichment” activities.
  • Incorporate recreational activities from the community and develop close working relationships with community organizations.
  • Maintain adequate supply of books, puzzles, magazines and games.
  • May assist the Living Well Director in performing administrative functions (business letters), accounts payable, handling resident inquiries and conducting building tours; may also perform switchboard relief.
  • Responsible for activity-related program training for all staff.
  • May be responsible for transporting residents to appointments, as well as regular and special recreational outings.
  • Oversees Signature Programming Assistant.
  • Report all program policy/procedures discrepancies to Living Well Director.
Education Required:
  • Degree/certification in recreational activities/life enrichment
  • High school diploma or equivalent in education, training and experience.
Yeas of Experience:
  • Two (2) years working experience in activities/life enrichment with seniors
  • One year direct supervisory/management experience.
  • The ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language
  • Knowledge of special needs of residents (physical, mental and social)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and/or Adobe Reader
  • Strong interpersonal skills working with seniors; ability to read, write and speak the English language
